What is the APSC/ASIA Scholarship?
This scholarship provides financial support (approx. $20,000 USD) to talented young professionals from APSC or other Asian cardiovascular societies. The goal is to:
Build global clinical and research expertise
Foster collaboration between Asia and Japan
Empower the next generation of leaders in cardiovascular science

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, you must:
Hold a doctorβs license and have completed training in cardiology
Have experience in clinical or basic cardiovascular research
Be under 40 years old as of November 28, 2025
Plan to study in Japan for 1 year or more (starting 2026/2027)
Not be a previous recipient of this scholarship or similar funding
Scholarship Details
Amount: Around $20,000 USD (3,000,000 JPY)
Recipients: Up to 4 awardees
Duration: Study period + 3 months post-return
Can be deferred to the next fiscal year
Must be refunded if study duration is less than 1 year

Study Plan (why Japan, research aims, etc.) β Form 2
Letter of Consent from Japanese host institution
Reference Letter from your current supervisor
Support Letter from your APSC/Asian cardiovascular society

Selection Process
Document Review (1st Screening)
Interview (2nd Screening)
Finalists must present their research at the JCS Annual Scientific Meeting (complimentary registration provided)
