One of Bangladesh’s most accomplished cardiologists, I have dedicated my career to advancing cardiovascular care through clinical excellence, education, and research. Over the past decades, I have performed more than 15,000 advanced cardiac procedures, including complex interventions such as Left Main, Bifurcation, Calcified lesions, Ultra Low Contrast PCI, DCB PCI, high-risk and chronic total occlusion angioplasty, as well as peripheral vascular and carotid interventions.

I began my journey at Chittagong Medical College (MBBS, 1994) and earned my MD in Cardiology from Dhaka University (2004), followed by advanced fellowship training in interventional cardiology at Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi. I joined the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Dhaka, where I progressed from Assistant Professor (2009) to Associate Professor (2015) and later Professor (2023), contributing extensively to patient care, teaching, and research. Currently, I serve as Professor & Head of the Department of Cardiology at Kurmitola General Hospital, Dhaka.

Throughout my career, I have trained numerous fellows in both invasive and non-invasive cardiology procedures and served as course director and examiner for postgraduate courses (MD, DCard). I hold prestigious fellowships from the American College of Cardiology (FACC), European Society of Cardiology (FESC), and Asia-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology (APSIC), and actively contribute to national cardiac societies in Bangladesh.

Beyond the hospital, I am passionate about public health and professional development. I am the Founder & CEO of Healthy Heart Happy Life (HeLO), a World Heart Federation member organization, and the Founder & Secretary General of the IPDI Foundation, which provides mentorship and education to the next generation of healthcare professionals.
